The Spooktacular Experience

Singapore wants to offer more than the sights and the sounds in the hopes of attracting more tourists. Singapore tourism is now focusing on “experiential tourism”. This is a new concept but many people are considering it because it engages all senses. Travelling is now more than just your traditional sight-seeing.


An example of “experiential tourism” is Spooktacular. Every year, Singapore celebrates the Halloween but this year is different. Sentosa’s Fort Siloso will be transformed to a haunted village called Laddaland. This is the 1st year of the 3 year contract signed with a film production house in Thailand. The Horror film production house is named GMM Tai Hub. The partnership will surely upgrade the scare this Halloween.

If you want to check Laddaland, you are free to go to Fort Siloso and feel their presence. Here are some information that you might find valuable:

  • When: Laddaland is also dubbed as “Asia’s Scariest Fun”. It will happen on October 11, 17, 18, 24, 25 and 31. It does not end there because on November 1, the event will begin from 7pm to 1am. You can now choose what days you are available.


  • Tickets: There are six choices or types of tickets if you are thinking about buying tickets. The first type would be the advance ticket which is available from June 4 to September 30. It costs S$ 56.60 each. The next type would be the standard ticket which is available from October 1 to November 1. It costs S$66.60 each. The third type would be yin yang pass which is available from June 4 to November 1. It costs S$40.60 each. The fourth type would be the islander which is available from June 4 to September 30. It costs S$46.60 each. The fifth type would be fast pass which is also available from June 4 to November 1. It costs $32 (good for three houses) and $15 (good for one house). The last type is kia gui pass which is available from June 4 to November 1. It costs S$16.60. This type does not feature any haunted house.
  • Door gift: The best thing about this Spooktacular event is that you can get your free Laddaland door gift. You have to remember though that stocks are limited. When you enter, you only need to present your ticket. The door gift comprises of one poncho, one fan and one S$ 2 F&B voucher.
