Healthy is the new black. Here in Singapore, the government is encouraging the society to join the healthy club. Exercise is not enough. You need to consider your food intake. If you really want to make sure of the food you eat, it is better to prepare it yourself.

Ditch unhealthy foods this year and consider healthy foods. You will appreciate this if you prepared it yourself. Here are some foods you can whip in your kitchen:

  • Vegetable soup: There are many ready-to-serve vegetable soups here in Singapore. You only need to hit the supermarket. This may be convenient but you have to remember that tinned soups contain preservatives and salt. If you want a healthy soup, just chop any vegetable you want then make a soup by adding oil, garlic and onion.
  • Stirred-fry beef and broccoli: If you want beef and broccoli but you do not have enough time to cook, you can simply stir fry it. In less than thirty minutes, you can make a healthy food out of beef and broccoli. Just dice onions, garlic, pepper and broccoli then stir-fry it together with the beef.

  • Grilled chicken: If you want chicken, you can make a healthy meal out of it too. Just grill the chicken at a medium to high heat. It can be bland but you can choose seasonings.
  • Vegetable frittata: The easiest dish is vegetable frittata. If you only have eggs in your refrigerator, you can make it into a hearty meal. Just whisk the egg, pour it over the non-stick pan with other ingredients like kale and spinach.

There are many things that you can whip in your kitchen. The important thing here is the nutritional content.
