6 Things Your Future Wedding Planner Wishes You Knew

While your special day is supposed to be all about celebrating your first day as a happily married couple, the time leading up to it can be a real hassle. There are a lot of questions that need to be asked and answered, from the venue and theme to the photoshoot and even the catering.

Let’s say you’re in this situation, and you have no idea how to go about planning your wedding. Where do you start? Here are a few things that we’d like you to know:

1. Please be honest to us about your budget.
This should be the first thing that you should open up to us before anything else. We can’t work with what we don’t know, and it will be hard to adjust if it turns out that your budget can’t keep up with your taste.
Please trust us when we say that splurging on that floral arch of your dreams isn’t going to be worth it.

2. We will respond to you, but please be patient.
There are times that we can’t get back to you right away, but that’s usually because we’re talking to other vendors to make sure that a certain service or product is available or coordinating the weddings of five or six other clients.

3. Keep your focus on the guest experience.
Weddings are a celebration – what’s the point if no one’s having a good time? It becomes easier to set the tone for your wedding if you focus on making sure that your guests enjoy themselves from start to finish.

4. We’re not miracle workers.
Yes, we have to be prepared for anything that may come up, but there are problems that could arise at any wedding that even we can’t solve.

But that doesn’t mean that we won’t do everything to make your day perfect. We’ve seen everything that happens whenever two people are about to get married, and by that we mean everything. We find silver linings to almost every situation, and we always have backup plans.

5. Feel free to disagree.
Don’t feel intimidated by us – if you have suggestions or disagree with our ideas, please feel free to do so. We have more ideas in our hat, and if you don’t like one, we can always move on to the next.

6. Enjoy!
You shouldn’t stress yourself out over-thinking every last detail. This is your day. Enjoy and have fun! If things get too tough on your end, let us know. We’ll take care of it for you the best way that we can.
